The State Theatre Centre of Western Australia is opening its doors for a free open day on May 6. If you're curious to know what goes on inside this slick modern complex, this is your opportunity. The open day has plenty on offer including:

Enjoy workshops with artists, play readings, interactive activities, theatre design presentations and backstage tours.
Meet the companies
Meet the three companies who call the State Theatre Centre home: Black Swan State Theatre Company - world-class theatre in WA; Barking Gecko Theatre Company - theatre that fires the imaginations of children, teens and their families; and Co:3 Australia - WA's flagship contemporary dance company.

Mr Stink will be brought to live by CDP Theatre Producers in the Heath Ledger Theatre, ideal for children 6-12 years.

In the Studio Underground, Black Swan present
The Lighthouse Girl, the story that inspired the roaming spectacular The Giants (which came to Perth a few years ago). Ideal for families and ages 10 and over.

In The Courtyard, the Perth Comedy Festival fires up the Gold Digger tent with
The Biggest Comedy Show on Earth, the first time it has been located at the State Theatre Centre. This is for ages 13 and over.
