Star City or Sydvegas is a fun place to visit.

Star City is big, modern, showy, over the top, did I mention it's like Vegas.

For those seeking an adrenalin rush or to see if lady luck is on their side there are thousands of opportunities to have a punt, from hundreds of poker machines, table games such as Baccara and Big Wheel; a full house of Poker styles including: Texas Hold 'Em, Omaha, Manila, Five and Seven Card Stud and Draw Poker as well as TAB facilities at Star City's gaming rooms

Fat Noodle is a surprising find, surrounded by rows and rows of poker machines, the restaurant provides a dining haven from the rush of gambling. The food is authentic, with an interesting menu and reasonably priced, great for a work lunch as well as a weekend night out.

High flying restaurants such as Astral offers sensational views of the Sydney skyline and an elite dining experience from 2009's Chef of the Year - Sean Connolly.

The best entertainment that Sydney has to offer such as Dr Zhivago starring Anthony Warlow and Hamazkaine Armenian Sydney Dance Co Cultural Celebration can be found at Star City's Lyric Theatre.

If you want to spend the night there is accomodation on site from standard hotel rooms to luxury suites.

Try and take a taxi or public transport as parking is very expensive and remember to gamble responsibly.

Thanks for the review. I stayed at star city for my girlfriend's birthday in the middle of July and had a great time. The accomadation was superb, food was great and the gambling facilities are second to none in Sydney. Staying on a Thursday night we received a complimentary upgrade to one of the more expensive rooms and the view of the Harbour was breathtaking. The food was very reasonably priced as stated in this article and overall this is a must have experience for anyone, from the tourist to the curious local.
