It's hard to miss
The Star Bar, it's located right across the road from the cinema on George Street and the floating logo on the top of the building is hard to miss. Despite passing it so many times, I only actually went inside for the first time last week. With $3.90 drinks from 5pm to 11pm daily, it was a great place to spend the night with friends/
Under one roof The Star Bar has three levels that will cater to all your entertainment needs. With 'Just Dance Fridays' and 'Situation Saturdays,' getting up and dancing isn't a problem with house, dance and club hits on Friday and fresh R&B and funky house flavas Saturday. Both free entry. 'Thirsty Thursdays' and 'Star Sundays' are more of a laid back affair with $1 pool, $3.90 drinks and $8 cocktails. If some light music, hanging out on comfortable lounges, playing game of pool or two and cheap drinks is up your alley, then this is for you.
The Star Bar isn't just dancing and cheap drinks, it is the ultimate sports bar. With 15 huge screens and a private cinema that seats 62, you'll never miss a game. You can enjoy any of your favourite games in the privacy of a booth or get a group together and hire the cinema for your exclusive use.
If neither sports nor dancing is for you, then maybe you're looking for a laugh. The Star Bar is here for you too. Friday and Saturday nights are comedy nights, where you watch 7 comics compete for cash prizes. You even get to be the judge with digital voting pads on the seats. Admission for Saturday is $11, Friday $16 and Finals $20, from 8pm doors opening 30mins prior. There is even 'Comedy for Lunch' now every Friday at noon for $10 per person, or $22 for lunch and the show.
So there you have it, The Star Bar really is your one stop destination for all things entertainment.
