Spotless gurus Shannon Lush and Jennifer Fleming are back with a new book called 'Spotless Pets' dedicated to all those people who own a pet.

The book features green solutions to stains and smells, and cleaning up after your pets. There are chapters devoted to dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses and other pets. Then there is a handy A-Z of stain removal recipes. The final chapter is on household formulas for multi-purpose cleaning.

I own Shannon and Jennifer's original Spotless book about cleaning your house and I just love it. It's more of a reference book, so I pick it up when I have a cleaning problem and then try their solution. It often involves vinegar and bicarbonate of soda (and oddly enough panty hose!).

Spotless Pets is great because dogs are messy creatures. They leave hair all over the place and then accidents can happen. The remedies in the book are inexpensive and low-toxic which is great for our pet's health and the environment. The book has pages of advice on removing stains and smells, and cleaning cages, tanks and bedding.

We own a dog and the appropriate chapter covers most of the everyday problems you will come across. But please do not play with tennis balls with your dogs as it is bad for their teeth.

The Spotless series have sold more than 1.2 million copies in Australia and you really should get your hands on one of their books, including Spotless Pets if you are pet owner.

Spotless Pets by Shannon Lush and Jennifer Fleming is an imprint of ABC Books and the paperback book retails for $19.99. Purchase at your favourite local book store or online with Dymocks .
