is a relatively new addition to the Brunswick St Mall strip. Opened in July 2012, serving frozen cocktails, it's well worth a visit, especially over the long, hot summer.

My first impression of this venue was mixed. Polished concrete floors remind me of my younger drinking years, however I was pleasantly surprised by the funky atmosphere and the quality of the frozen cocktails. I had a chance to chat with the owners Deryn and Amy, and they explained that their premium frozen cocktails - Pina Colada (made on coconut water, rather than coconut cream), Hemingway Daiqiuri and Mai Tai - all $14 for standard size - were developed with consultation with Bacardi Brand Ambassador.

On my visit, I sampled my way through their selection - perfect on a hot, humid, summer night. You can get 30ml samples for $2 each, or 5 for $8, which, when you see the range, is a great start before choosing your larger size - standard size for $9, or served in a larger hurricane glass for $14. The Long Island Iced Tea was very refreshing, and the Amazombie, which was actually a mistake - but so good they trademarked it. The colour is a little less than desirable, but well worth a taste - you'll love it. And made with Acai berry, it's good for you too, right? The Drunken Elf has choc-mint goodness, and the Dirty Bastard is all chocolate flavours.

Then I worked through the summery flavours - Mango Daiquiri, Winey Bitch (so called as it has a sweet white wine base), Red-Headed Slut with one of my favourite liqueurs, Jagermeister, and Pink Flamingo. The Fruit Tingle was really, really good, courtesy of real raspberries, the Blue Nuke was refreshing, the Mirage made me feel like I was beside a pool, and the Lemon Lime
and Bitters is alcohol-free, which can have vodka added to. The Appletini contained both sour & sweet apply flavours, and the Smokin' Oak had ginger flavours.

Wanna try something different? Spectrum offers Bear in a Jar which is a gummy bear soaked in liqueur, in a jar, with a shot of liquor, being about 1.5 standard drinks. The best seller in this range is Sour Apple Pucker but try other flavours as well.

Frozen cocktails not your thing? They also stock Australian craft beers, ciders, piccolos of sparking wine and Chardonnay, and ready-to-drink varieties, sure to satisfy all tastes.

is located in the Brunswick St Mall, and is open Thursday through Sunday from 5pm until late. Keep up-to-date with their goings-on by liking them on Facebook here .
