Join Lantern Ghost Tours as they delve into the dark, criminal lives of some of Pentridge Prison's most notorious 'residents' as part of Victorian Law Week May 15th to 21st May 2017.
Lantern Ghost Tours are operating special Crime Tours on four dates only to offer guests the rare opportunity to see what life behind bars was like for some of Australia's most infamous figures.
During the 1.5 hour long tour, guests will walk in the footsteps of Chopper Reed, discover the remains of Ned Kelly and experience what Ronald Ryan- the last man to be executed in Australia- may have felt in his final moments.
Lantern Ghost Tour owner Jacqui Travaglia says, "We are excited to be able to show guests Australia's most infamous prison. It is steeped with so much Australian history. Ned Kelly's remains were found onsite and it was the location of the last legal execution in Australia. It is also the inspiration for movies and TV programs such as Underbelly." If you have ever wondered what it might be like to be incarcerated, now is your chance to experience it in Pentridge Prison, the former 'home' to some of Australia's hardest and longest serving prisoners.
Crime Tours of Pentridge Prison D Division will operate at 19.30pm on 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st May 2017. Bookings essential at www.lanternghosttours.com or by calling 1300 390 119. Tickets cost $34pp and depart from Pentridge Prison D Division, Corner Urquhart Street & Wardens Walk South, Coburg.
