The Government House of South Australia is opening its doors and grounds to the public on Sunday, 22 February.

His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le, Governor of South Australia, and Mrs Lan Le, invite you to the first of 2015.



Open Days occur twice a year, and it is an opportunity to learn more about this beautiful part of South Australian history. There are both formal and self-guided tours available, where you will be able to view the public rooms within the building and explore the surrounding grounds.

This is also a chance for the community to come together in support of the Cancer Council of South Australia, who will be showcasing Relay For Life, the world's largest community-powered event to fight cancer, on the lawns of Government House. This will be accompanied by games and activities for all ages, food, and a special visit from your favourite Star Wars characters.

Live entertainment will be provided by the Band of the South Australia Police in the morning, and the Chicago Show Band in the afternoon.



Entry is free, but you can make a gold coin donation to the Cancer Council SA. This is a fun, educational experience for the whole family to enjoy, so come along and support the fight against cancer.
