There's a new kid on the block in Balmain. The Source Bulk foods located conveniently in the heart of Darling Street is Balmain's first specialised bulk foods store.

The Source carries over 350 bulk products, everything from nuts, seeds, grains, cereals, delicious dried fruits, cleaning products, personal care items and more. The idea is you can buy as much or as little as you like. Half of the products in the store are organic and a good many of them gluten free as well.

Where else can you find coconut flour or pecan flour to cook with? Owner Emma Medeiros, who was very friendly and helpful said cooking with pecan flour gives dishes a great unique taste, one I can't wait to try out.



The store has a very spacious and clean feeling about it, it's well lit, clean and neat with rows upon rows of goodies to choose from.
Don't forget to stop by the samples counter, where all kinds of delicious treats are out to try.



There is also a milling station, where you can mill your own grains, grind your own coffee or make your own fresh peanut, macadamia and almond butter. It doesn't get much fresher than that.



The owners and the staff are environmentally conscious and The Source is proudly plastic bag free. They offer bottles, jars and paper bags to store your goodies in and always welcome customers bringing in their own containers.

The Source is a store that must be experienced, with so many unique products and delicious foods to try it is a food lover's delight.
