An annual market, this being its 8th, the Somers Winter Market is on again at the Coolart Wetlands and Homestead - Lord Somers Road, Somers , on Saturday 22 August 2015 from 10am to 3pm. Entry is by gold coin donation per person. As parking is limited there'll be a free shuttle bus service to transport you to the market from surrounding streets.

When I first promoted the market last year I was intrigued to visit the homestead as well. I'm glad I reviewed the market because it was so awesome, I vowed to go again the following year; and here we are. All proceeds raised goes to the local Somers Pre-School. A team of mums from the school will have home made goods for the plant and flower stall. Parking is rife but never fear, the volunteer shuttle bus drivers are amazing and work hard all day long shuttling people back and forth from market to car and vice versa.

Explore the magnificent homestead on the property, linger the tranquil grounds, listen to music, feast on winter food, browse through gorgeous wares from local peninsular artists and enjoy unique merchandise offered by the vibrant market stalls.

The kids are in for a real treat at the children's paddock where they can run around on the grass and let loose on the jumping castle. They can do sand art in the craft tent where you'll find the sparkly glittery fairylicious 'Faery Emma' of Stardust Fairies and she'll be painting faces and entertaining the young and young at heart! Join the event page to stay updated and 'like' their Facebook page.
