Smuggler's Cove Resort is a 4* backpacker resort situated on the beach a 10 minute drive away from Nadi International Airport. It caters for all budgets and has all the necessary amenities no matter whether you are backpacking and only staying a few nights or holidaying and planning to staying for a week or two.
The Beach
With rooms ranging from the most basic backpacker friendly dorms to family rooms, a disabled room and even Ocean front and premium rooms there is likely to be something suitable for everyone.
The
Mixed Pirate Dorm, which accommodates 34 people in a large room equipped with bunk beds for FJ$33* per night, is ideal for those on a very basic budget. It has cubicles with two bunks per cubicle, individual safety lockers for personal possessions and separate male and female bathrooms.
For only FJ$42** per night there is also the option of a smaller
Mixed Dorm which sleeps four people and a
Girls Sanctuary Dorm which sleeps eight girls. These are ideal for those who may be first time solo travellers and feel uncomfortable with sharing a dorm on such a huge scale as the Mixed Pirate Dorm. Although it has to be said that the 34 bed dorm, despite its noise pollution, is extremely friendly and fun, not to mention cheap!
The resort boasts a lively
Ghost Ship Bar & Grill which is a great place to meet other people if travelling alone or to socialise if in a group. Delicious food*** and drinks/cocktails are served until 11pm.

The resort makes sure that there is always some form of entertainment going on in the evenings whether it be Fijian fire dancing or a Kava ceremony. There is also a list of various activities to get involved in during the day ranging from coconut jewellery making to scuba diving lessons.
Some other facilities available at the resort include a 24 hour internet cafe (Internet usage cards can be purchased at reception), Souvenir shop, Travel desk for all your 'Island hopping' needs as well as a self operated launderette, ATM machine, Big screen wall projector TV located in the Bar, Spa (Beach side massages available) and a beach side swimming pool.
It is also worth mentioning that the staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming from the minute you get picked up at the airport for your complimentary transfer to the resort to the minute you check out of smuggler's cove to go and explore the rest of Fiji.

Note: As it is a resort be prepared to pay more for necessities such as food and water (bottle of water FJ$3-FJ$5 depending on size). This shouldn't be too much of a bother if you are only staying one or two nights but if staying for longer these can add up quickly so it might be better to venture out into the city centre and visit a local restaurant for some of your meals or a supermarket to stock up on a few things (especially bottles of water!)
