I have not been to a circus for quite a number of years. I may not have been aware of the new techniques that are being performed by other circus artists but personally I felt that Silvers Circus has definitely taken the acts to the next level. From traditional circus acts including clowns and jugglers to Silvers magic acts, the Wheel of Steel and The Globe of Death, the physical skills performed by these artists are exceptional. With the costumes and props glow in the dark, it has added the magical feel to the whole performance.

Established by Anton and Anna Gassers in 1976, it is now performed by their three grown up kids, Tony, Rosita and Dominik along with other international artists.

Not to be missed is Gypsy Gomez from Argentina. She's able to manipulate up to 80 hula hoops, thrown in her direction whilst balancing on a giant mirror ball. One of Gypsy's act is bend over backward while spinning the hoops turning them into slinky.

While Ricardo Costa-De-Araujo's juggling performance was not perfect on that night, he definitely juggled with an intense speed that I have yet to see in other jugglers.

Yibi Gomez is another juggler who added an extra twist to his act by juggling the balls downward and contending with the rebound.

Rosita Gasser is the sixth generation of Swiss circus artist, having grown up within the Silvers Circus all her life. Her talent lies in modern display on the roman ring and flying trapeze.

Ramon Kathriner, also from the sixth generation of Swiss circus family is a tightrope walker. Some of his acts include The Great Blondin walking on stilt act and sitting on a chair, balancing on the silver wire thread, high above the circus arena.

For The Wheel of Steel, Dominik Gasser and Ramon Kathriner performed synchronized acrobatic skills on a wheel that oscillate and revolve from group level. It requires a physical audacity to run, jump, skip and flip through the apparatus, which was once known as Wheel of Death.

Dominik Gasser, Ricardo Costa-De-Araujo and Jean Michel Lyelzkorozky Cardona make up the three Phoenix Riders perform in The Globe of Death. They speed around inside of a 3 1/2 meter diameter metal globe with Jessica Dobson standing in the middle of the globe.

Simon and his beautiful assistants stage magic certainly managed to trick the kids and some adults too.

The Silvers Circus will be performing throughout Victoria from March to May 2015.
