Neuroblastoma is the third most common type of childhood cancer after leukaemia and brain tumours, and the leading single cause of cancer deaths of children under the age of five. Despite the number of deaths it has caused, this may have been the first time you've heard of it. You might be thinking, 'But what can I do? How can I help?'

Luckily, Silly Socks Day has been organised to raise both awareness and funds to combat neuroblastoma. All you have to do is wear silly socks on Friday, the 16th of November! Sounds easy, right? Once you've done that, head over to the fundraising page at Everyday Hero to make a donation to the Children's Cancer Institute Australia.

Tell your friends, tell your family – and most of all, have fun wearing the silliest socks possible! Spots, stripes, cute animals, cupcakes, or just mismatched socks – as long as you have fun and let people know why you're donning exciting socks, you've done your bit.
