The is a scenic café and function venue located at one of the most enviable locations in Tasmania. It is situated in Mount Nelson's conservation and lookout area and it is only a ten-minute drive south of Hobart.

This is also the location of the famous colonial-built Mount Nelson Signal Station. This signal station was one of a chain of signal stations that linked Hobart Town with Port Arthur.

The charming is situated next to the quaint signal station and it is well-positioned on Mount Nelson to take in the most breathtaking views. It overlooks the Tasman Peninsula, Iron Pot and the northern tip of Bruny Island, and has a stunning views from Mt Wellington, across Hobart's CBD and wharves to Eaglehawk Neck.

This is an well-known established cafe that is popular with morning joggers, tourists, families and others wanting to relax in front of one of Hobart's greatest views. I could not think of a more perfect location for a light meal and enjoying the scenery from this panoramic vantage point.

The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch from 10am till 4pm daily. Their extensive menu offers a delicious range of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. There is a large selection of desserts and drinks, too.

You can choose to sit inside the heated cafe or outside on the balcony (or there are beanbags on the lawn for a more leisurely seating). Either way you will get to enjoy the interrupted view.

Our recent visit to the was at morning tea time. It was a cool autumn morning and we were delighted to walk in to a country-style lounge room complete with a fireplace. The place was very inviting as it was warm and toasty. I noticed the area was perfectly kid friendly with easy pram access.

We were still feeling full from our hearty breakfast at Daci . A cup of freshly brewed tea and a light dessert sounded appealing to us.

My cousins noticed some lovely wines on the drinks menu but, since it was still early morning, we decided on a pot of French Earl Grey Tea instead.

After some deliberation we decided on a deconstructed lavender panna cotta from the menu and it looked mouth watering.

With such impressive natural views, hot tea and a scrumptious dessert, we certainly enjoyed our leisurely morning here.

When visiting ensure you allow plenty of time. This is a great café where you just take your time and enjoy the good views. This family-friendly café is full of fresh air and gorgeous sunshine. It is an ideal scenic place for visitors and it is definitely high on my list of places to return to with friends.
