Harrod's at Knightsbridge (on the Piccadilly line on the Tube) is just spectacular, and I am sure that both locals and visitors to London would agree. Even if retail therapy is not your type of fun; your time in London would not feel complete (it would be like some missing void) if you did not pay a visit to Harrod's at least once. You would feel robbed of the London experience to some degree.
Beautiful ambience, similar to what David Jones is like in Australia. The whole experience is just great. Love the Christmas trim as well as the food court area. I was surprised that I was able to buy a smoked salmon (and salmon in London is just gorgeous) and cream cheese bagel for only £2; yet the bagel and the fish was fresh and flavoursome as well.
Awesome customer service that gives Australian department stores a good run for their money. It is thoughtful that the staff ask you if you need any further assistance in going to another area of Harrod's, and this is really helpful in getting around this mammoth department store with ease and grace. The Harrod's souvenirs such as their key rings with the British flag and the red double decker buses are also great in more ways than one.
