Shibah Restaurant

Nestled on a quiet residential road off Acland Street in St Kilda is the Moroccan restaurant, Shibah.

Since taking over the premises in 2007, co-owner and chef Kobe has transformed the restaurant into one of the Eastern suburbs best kept secrets. Hailing from Israel and brought up on his Moroccan-born mothers cuisine, the restaurant offers a fusion of Middle Eastern foods.

The homemade dips, Melbourne's best breakfast shakshoukas, and a range of tajines are the pick of a good lot. Finish off the meal with a mint tea and a traditional Narghila, flavoured molasses water pipe.

The leafy courtyard lends itself perfectly to private functions or a relaxing weekend brunch. An extensive beer and wine selection is on offer.

Shibah will host traditional Moroccan music on Sunday 24th April from 6pm. Table bookings are advised but not required. Open Breakfast, Brunch and Dinner Tuesday to Sunday. 16 Belford St, St Kilda. (03) 95254838.
