If you're looking for cheap, convenient and tasty food nothing beats the satisfaction of a plate of dumplings. One of the best places for authentic fried and steamed dumplings, as well as noodles and rice dishes, is Shanghai Dumpling House located in Chinatown. Be sure to also try the Xiao Long Bao, a popular steamed bun dish which comes in a traditional bamboo basket. You can spend less than $10 a meal here and sharing dishes is easy and encouraged.
