Self Guided Walking Tour of Brisbane

Published January 3rd 2011
The Audio Design Museum believes that good design isn't just found in museums and art galleries. Their self guided walking tours of Brisbane are the perfect option for those who hate crowds, structure or just prefer to take things at their own pace.

To experience the architecture and design of inner city Brisbane, simply visit the website to download the audio tour commentary and accompanying map. Then, just follow the directions to enjoy the informative commentary of a walking tour, plus the solitude of doing it by yourself.

The Audio Design Museum offers two precinct tours of Brisbane. South Brisbane and West End explores the architecture, fashion and design of the area, including a behind-the-scenes inspection of the Cultural Centre. The Fortitude Valley tour focuses on the design of the boutiques and smaller retail outlets.

The podcasts and maps can be downloaded for free on the Audio Design Museum website. The Brisbane tours are a joint initiative of the Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government.
