Have you ever considered reliving your youth or childhood by going to see your old favourite band? I have. Last night I went to see 90s pop sensation, Hanson, while they're in Australian on their Shout It Out tour.

Before you judge me, consider this. You know that feeling you get when a song from your youth comes on the radio? You get excited, you get nostalgic, you get happy. I was more than willing to put the credibility of my taste on the line for a whole evening of that wonderful feeling. And I don't regret my decision, not even a little bit.

Hanson were great. I was taken back to the late 90s as they belted out tunes such as Mmmpop and Madeline. Their new music wasn't bad either. And oh, what a thrill it was to finally see them after 15 years of being a fan. I left the show with a new appreciation for their music and a new love for them as a band.

There are tones of old faithful bands playing in Melbourne in 2012. We've already had Aqua, The Vengaboys and Prince come out this year and I bet you didn't hear a single bad word about any of them. Matchbox Twenty will visit Australia in October or why don't you borrow a 5 year old and go to see the final concert of the Wiggles !

So, go on. Go and party like it's 1997. No matter how "uncool" it may be, you won't regret it.
