Down near the backpacker end of the CBD,
Scruffy Murphy's has an unofficial tag of being the place to go when you get kicked out of somewhere else. That might be a little harsh, but it certainly lets all sorts in!
The beers flow like it's going out of fashion and hoards of people gather in its four bars; the Main Bar, the Goose Garden Restaurant, the Vault Nightclub and the Golden Dragon Lounge. Conveniently it is located right next to a kebab shop to soak up all that
Guinness after a long night on the turps. However it does serve decent food grub and you'll be forgiven if you think you're in the middle of
Temple Bar when your barman has an Irish accent. Ok, so that might be a long shot.
Most clientele are there for a good time, to meet people and have a laugh. Lots of young folk frequent Scruffy Murphy's and it boasts 7 nights of entertainment each week. With outdoor seating it is also good for the warmer months, even though inside it is nice and cosy.
