I put aside a bit of family time last Saturday and given the weather, we decided a nice way to spend the day was to ride the
Scotchman's Creek Trail.
Connecting
East Malvern to
Jells Park, Scotchman's Creek Trail is a wonderful track that can be cycled, walked or jogged by all ages and all fitness levels.
We chose to start the ride at Jells Park, weaving and winding our way through tree lined streets, areas of the track which have willows over hanging small creeks and right through to
East Malvern Golf course. There's great wildlife spotting to be had with ducks, birds and fish all visible from your bike.
It's great to have the wind in your hair, feeling like a teenager exploring this inner suburban gem.
The track itself is around 17km one way with a starting point in Jells Park, finishing with a coffee in East Malvern or alternatively, if heading the other way, a picnic in Jells Park.
It's a safe and relatively simple track so is child friendly, fun for all ages, and in these summer months, a wonderful way to spend a day outside.
So, on ya bike!
