The best way to see the sights of Fremantle is to scoot around it. Visiting Fremantle for the day, I was nearly ready to end the sightseeing and go back to the hotel and sit by the pool. When we stumbled upon a small building, The Weigh Bridge with scooters parked out the front. My husband was automatically enthusiastic, but I wasn't so sure. Fremantle seemed quite relaxed but the thought of riding a scooter scared me a bit. He then suggested we try the Scoot cars. These seemed a bit stronger and sick of walking I agreed we should hire one. It was one of the best parts of our weekend. The hiring process was simple and we were off and cruising the streets of Fremantle in no time.
A lunch stop at Little Creatures Brewery
This activity is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and also the people that you scoot past. We were able to see a lot more in Fremantle due to having the scooter. We were able to have lunch at the Little Creatures Brewery, scoot onto the Fremantle chocolate factory and also take a scoot along the river bank.
I have since looked at the
Scoot Freo website and have discovered that they offer a sunset tour. It is four hours and includes dinner and drinks. Stops include Hillarys, Scarborough and Cottesloe. Hire rates for the scooters can also be found online.
