Thankfully there are lots of fun ways to entertain the kids over the school holidays, today we're looking at the top three budget-friendly options on the Sunshine Coast.

1) The Ginger Factory or The Big Pineapple (Yandina/Woombye)

Entry is free for both attractions but there are still ways to spend money so be prepared to bring some change. Both offer a train ride at a charge and both have tempting ice-cream selections. To find out more visit their websites: The Ginger Factory
The Big Pineapple .

2) Outdoor Movies (Various Locations)

To save some coin why not opt to bring the kids to an outdoor cinemas, cheaper than the movies and dare I say, even cooler, just make sure to bring a gold coin donation, some snacks, plus a rug/chair. For session times head here .

3) The Rollerdrome (Caloundra)

In the warmer months the Rollerdrome becomes an ice-skating rink but the rest of the time it's open for good old fashion skating. A session will set you back between $5 - $15 and will happily exhaust a couple of hours. You also have the added option to do drop the kids off or hang out in the cafe. Check out their site for more details.
