If you like your entertainment raw and improvised it doesn't get much better than
Theatre Sports, where two teams of thespians battle it out on the stage for honour and glory.
Theatre Sports has recently made the transition from pubs and clubs to the small screen with shows like
Thank God You're Here and
Whose Line is it Anyway? (adapted from the BBC show of the same name) however many still prefer the more chaotic and less polished version to be found in smaller venues.
The
Harold Park Hotel is a comedy venue
in Glebe which has Theatre Sports every Thursday night from 7.00pm to 10.30pm (the times on the website for this thursday are incorrect).
It's called
Scared Scriptless and "
[there are] a variety of events, each testing a different set of skills from the competitors - from storytelling to characterisation, from mime to music, from rhyme to accents".
Harold Park also
has a restaurant so you could head over after work, grab a bite beforehand, and then wait for the fun.
Why? Laughter is
good for you.
