SBS has always been the channel to flick to for some late-night European film satisfaction, (often involving unusual plot lines, eccentric characters and candid nudity) – films which are, on the whole, more original than the stuff churned out by Hollywood. Though the Tour de France may be over, SBS is still in full Francophile swing, showcasing 13 classic and contemporary French films throughout August. These will screen on Saturdays on SBS ONE, as well as Sundays and Tuesdays on SBS TWO. Vive le cinéma!
