Children's Week celebrates the rights of kids to enjoy their childhood and have a grand future. Every year a different article in the UN Rights of the child is emphasised. This year it is Article 12, the right of a child to have a voice and be heard. Changes in our climate-and how it will affect children's future environment- certainly ties into this.

The aim is to get together a group of kids to cut out trees and decorate them, using paints, etc. Let your imagination go wild! Place any messages the kids want to convey onto the trees. Invite families and friends to come around at 2pm. This is part of Children's Week and officially supported by the Children's Week organisation. Ask the children to talk about their trees and explain any messages they have tied onto them. Afterward, send in your best pictures for Save our Children's World to compile into an e-book. You can even ask at your children's school if they may like to become involved. Save our Children's World is a not-for-profit community support organisation, run by Act on Climate Ltd.

It sounds like a tree-rific idea!
