Saturday Night Swing Dance

Home > Things to do in New York > Dancing | Nightlife
Event: 14/11/2009
Dust off your dancing shoes and take a trip back to a friendlier time at the Saturday Night Swing Dance at the 92nd Street Y. Myrna Caceres and 92Y's Harkness Dance Center are hosting this night of live 1930s, 40s, and 50s music and dancing on November 14th from 7pm-1am.

This evening of retro revelry serves as the 4th anniversary of Swing Dance Swing, a dance organization co-run by Caceres. To celebrate, they have invited special guests including musical act Double Down Swing. And those born with two left feet need not fear looking the fool, since the evening begins with a free dance lesson from 7pm-8pm.

Tickets to the dance are $15 in advance and $18 at the door, and can be purchased at 92Y's box office or on their website. The ticket price includes the introductory dance lesson and free refreshments for when you need to take a breather. Sexy dancing partner not included.
