Sandholme Guesthouse is truly a 5 star bed and breakfast accommodation in every sense of the word. Located just a few minutes' drive from Huskisson's main strip, the property offers all the comforts of a luxury hotel and more.
The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, each with its own theme – Oriental, Dolphin, Jennies, Lovers and Turtle. Every room includes a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, storage for luggage, iron and ironing board, TV, in-house movies, air conditioning and broadband internet access. Most rooms also feature a spa and spa oils are provided for guests.
Both continental and Australian cooked breakfasts are included in the cost and again are what one would expect to find in a five start hotel.
Attention to detail is what makes this guest house so unique and special. From the time you arrive, you feel pampered - fluffy towels, gourmet coffee and every creature comfort you can possibly need, you will find in your room.
The house includes two spacious lounge rooms, a games room, dining room and a tranquil outdoor area.
The games room is equipped with a pool table, surround sound movie theatre and for those wishing to play board games, you will find chess, Monopoly and Scrabble. To add to the atmosphere, the game room also features log fire and a range of artworks and antiques.
If you wish to relax, read a book, enjoy a quiet coffee or a glass of wine, head into the manicured, fragrant garden for some peace and quiet.
Sandholme Guesthouse is family owned and offers good old fashioned customer service. Even before we arrived, we received a message with a map of the area as well as activities and places to visit. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner and given a private tour of the guesthouse and our room.

Three and half hours from Sydney and two and a half hours from Canberra, Huskisson and Jervis Bay are perfect for a weekend getaway or a relaxing holiday. Explore pristine beaches such as Callala Beach, Hyams Beach, Huskisson Beach, Murrays Beach, go diving or snorkelling in the crystal blue waters, enjoy a bushwalk in the Booderee National Park, take a dolphin / whale cruise or play golf or tennis. My hubby & I went on your recommendation. The place itself was lovely. Only strange thing was the awkwardness of the owners. Being alone in the games room/living room was not fun. The owner was always watching us so we didn't feel we could relax in the common areas. I play the piano & asked if I could tinkle on their baby grand & was met with very uncertain 'I suppose so' followed by gis constabt supervision as I played (the cover was soon returned!) Also the owner didn't trust us to have our own DVD players in the rooms. He'd hooked up some elaborate mechanism where he had all the DVD players in a locked cabinet & they were hooked up to each room. If you wanted to watch something you had to pick it out, give it to him & call him when you were ready to watch. And there's no such thing as pausing for a toilet break- unless you wanted to ring the owner & make him aware of your bodily functions & ask him to pause the movie!!
The house was lovely, the gardens beautiful, food was yummy too... But some quirkiness with the owners. It left us with a story at least.
