If you want to escape the city on the cheap, head to Anna Bay and stop awhile at the Youth Hostel to explore the beautiful Port Stephens without breaking the bank.





The Samurai Bungalows offers cabins for 2 to 5 people (note that the cabins for 5 are all bunks, where as the rooms for 4 or 2 include double beds). Some rooms have a tv, or there is a tv in the games room.

The cabins are spread out in bushland, surrounding the communal bush kitchen, an outdoor dining affair.



In winter, enjoy a bonfire down the back, and in summer, lazy by the pool if you can't be bothered heading to the pristine beaches near by.





The hostel has bikes for hire and boogie boards so there's plenty to do if you want to stay awhile.



This hostel is part of the rent-a-hostel program, so organise a group and gather 31 friends for a relaxing weekend.



Whale watching and sandboarding are the top attractions of the region as well as the stunning natural beauty, so there's plenty to do for both the adventurous and sedate.
