is one of the newer hotels on this end of the city. It was developed as the new World Square Shopping Centre was established a few years ago, and has become a conference centre and chill out hotspot.

Their conferencing facilities are comfortable. You head into the conference rooms as you head up the escalators to your right when you enter the complex from Liverpool Street, or to your right as you head up the escalators from Pitt Street.

The check in process is fast and friendly. The staff are clearly well trained and they know what they're doing. With the check in process, at some hotels in Sydney you're extremely lucky to get into your room if you have checked in before the standard check in time. I need to let you know that you need to check into this hotel from 2pm onwards. The staff here are happy to mind your luggage in the cloak room if you arrive at this hotel prior to the standard check in time. Come 2pm, the room is yours.

The rooms are quite small, yet the linen on the beds is consistent and pretty slick. The blackish-grey bed liner is fantastic. Even though the rooms are relatively small in size, the rates in this end of the city for a sparkling clean small room are sensational. If you're lucky, you can get into a standard room for $150 a night.

If a small mistake is made, you're given a really good apology. That apology can come in the form of a free buffet breakfast. The staff and the managers bend over backwards here to make every guest here so happy. Some lucky customers have even received room upgrades without even asking. For example, a friend of mine had an unsatisfying experience at a hotel nearby; she told the staff at Rydges why she decided to go with them at the last minute, and voila a deluxe room upgrade on the 20th floor was given to her. Forget the other hotels along this end of Pitt Street nearby. If you wish to stay in this area of the city, choose . My time here on all counts was satisfying. is also a family friendly hotel.

Of course, you have many fantastic restaurants on your doorstep. A couple of new restaurants will be opening at World Square as at the time of writing this. If you love Asian food, you're in perfect hands. You have Darling Harbour a few short blocks away as well as Chinatown. Walk up George Street, and you're less than a block away from Event Cinemas and another Miss Chu tuck shop.

Furthermore, considering that you're near Chinatown, you're also near a couple more shopping centres. Factory outlet Market City, and the longstanding Paddy's Markets for souvenirs and other cheap and classic trinkets for around the home.

If you don't mind walking a few blocks, you will have Pitt Street Mall on your doorstep. Near this end of town, Myers and David Jones are also worth checking out if you're in the mood to go shopping.

With this hotel, the World Square Monorail stop is right at your doorstep. Walk in the opposite direction to George Street, and you have Hyde Park and iconic Oxford Street Darlinghurst close by. Although the food at this hotel is also great, there are plenty of restaurants to eat out at. Although the rooms are comfortable, you would only want to sleep in them. You have so much to explore on this end of town.
