When inspiration hits, make sure that your pen works.

Experiencing another country and culture is much more than roving the hot tourist spots or dining at the highest rated restaurants. Sometimes to truly become acquainted with where you are, you must do more than look at your surroundings. You must stop and listen. Leave the noisy, crowded streets and venture towards the unpaved land. Feel the texture of the gum trees. You are an audience. Birds are chirping, but their songs are different than the songs in your own country. The whisper of the wind rattling through the winter-barren branches is a new language to learn. So get to know it. Enjoy the smallest differences. Find them. Seek them out and really experience Australia.
