Award-winning, Perrier-nominated, impressively-haired Geordie comic
Ross Noble brings his latest show, 'Things', to the
Apollo until the 24th of October.
If you've ever sat through a gig full of jokes staler than a jam doughnut in a supermodel's dressing room, Noble is the perfect alternative. Dependent almost entirely on his singularly bizarre mind, remarkably storytellig skill and staunch refusal to take anything seriously, these shows are never the same twice. Noble weaves audience comments and chunks of his own life (which has recently included the birth of a son and the loss of his house in an Australian bushfire) into the kind of images usually found only in chemically-induced dreams.
But Noble's gift for the absurd is no crutch: he's a sharp, likeable comic with a real flair for performance, and although his shows are unpredictable balancing acts, he very rarely falls off.
Video of a few of Noble's unique moments can be found at
his website or
official Youtube channel.
Prices range from £25 to £35 and can be
booked online. 'Things' shows at 8pm Monday to Saturday until the 24th of October at the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue.
