The Spirit Of Ecstasy

Beautiful Ormiston House on the shores of Redland Bay is again hosting some of the most elegant cars ever to hit the road.

The Rolls Royce Owners Club is holding their annual Concours D'Elegance on the 23rd of July 2017 and welcome enthusiasts to view the cars and enjoy a Devonshire tea on the verandah of this historic house.

The Rolls-Royce Company was formed in 1904 between the Hon C.S.Rolls and Henry Royce (later Sir Henry). In 1931 Bentley motors was purchased by the Rolls-Royce Company. Bentley Motors is now owned by Volkswagen and Rolls-Royce by BMW.

Formed in Sydney in 1936, the Rolls Royce Owners Club of Australia has branches active in every state in Australia, with around 240 members in Queensland.

Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in these beautiful cars, including non-members. Interested? Click here to access the Contact page of the Queensland Branch, or follow them via their Facebook Page!.

Each year the club focuses on one special class of vehicle and this year is the Rolls-Royce Phantoms, in production from 1925 through to 2017. The highlight of the show this year is a Government RR, a 1967 Phantom V, now owned by the Sir Henry Royce Foundation. The Sir Henry Royce Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to recording and preserving the history of Rolls-Royce and Bentley in Australia.
