Do yourself a favour, escape the city, and come up to the innovative Roleystone Winter Market on Sunday, June 11, from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Having attended virtually every market since its inception, I can attest to its quality and diversity. Nevertheless, 'not to rest on their laurels', the enthusiastic committee of local ladies is re-emphasising the original concept of a country market with a focus on a great family day out. Enjoy a traditional country market with a sense of style and sophistication, enhancing the vibe for stallholders and visitors alike.

If this doesn't take your breath away…

There are few places in Perth where the amazing colour of late autumn is as brilliant as Roleystone. Come and enjoy the russets and vibrant colours resplendent in the scenery, [LINK=https://www.facebook.com/RoleystoneMarkets]and enjoy a fabulous traditional country market.

Pass through one of the nicest valleys in the Perth Hills (have your camera or smart phone ready). Turn onto the Brookton Highway, from Albany Highway Kelmscott, turn off at Holden road and follow the signs to the Roleystone Markets in Cross Park (located high in the Hills 30 kilometres south-east of Perth), situated along Jarrah Road between Wygonda and Heather Road, Roleystone.

Live music and entertainment all day

Deb de Boer from the Roleystone Musicians Club will MC the entertainment, local choirs, the ever-popular Petra (belly dancing), and the re-introduction of roving buskers enhance that country vibe as you traverse the unique and diverse selection of stalls.

Not by chance

Keeping up the variety by only allowing a few of the same types of vendors to trade on the day; creating a great experience as you weave your way around over one hundred carefully positioned handpicked stalls.

The focus is on locally sourced (with most locally made) products, often with the artist on hand to chat about their creations. Variety, quality and a handmade/no imports philosophy indicate Roleystone Markets are the place to find that unique item.

Wherever you look, there is something new complimenting the many regulars. Choose from woodwork chopping boards, glass platters, bowls, light panels, local pottery, cards and handbags. I defy you to leave empty handed.

A large variety of Food vendors and Not for Profit groups providing activities ensure Roleystone Winter Market is a great family day out.

Plenty of kid's activities

Cross Park boasts an excellent skate park for kids big and small. Jumping castles, animal farm, face painting and a great selection of other activities complete the fun. No cries of boredom here, as you browse the stalls and enjoy the entertainment.

Enjoy that country vibe

Roleystone Markets take advantage of the unique atmosphere at Cross Park. Trees surround this large grassed oval providing a spacious country environment to enjoy the day. There is space for the kids to kick a football or run themselves ragged. If you have yet to experience this unique Hill's atmosphere, there is no better time than now while enjoying a great winter market experience.

Blokes helping Blokes

The Roleystone Men's Community Shed will have their usual eclectic mix of interesting goodies on display. New members are welcome, check out their website or have a chat with the blokes from the Shed.

Join and share

Roleystone Community Garden will have plenty on offer and as always, there will be members of the Community Garden on hand to talk about gardening and the plans for the permanent move of the community garden to their new home on Cross Park. New members welcome, come and enjoy the spoils of your work.

The heart and soul of the market

Formed as a sub-committee of the Roleystone Community Garden and with sponsorship and support of the local Community Bank – Bendigo Bank, the Roleystone Market Committee coordinates quarterly markets that are fast becoming a fixture in the Perth market scene and a "can't miss destination", for not only the local community but the Perth community as a whole.

A treat for music lovers

The Market Committee will sponsor a separate concert, probably early in the New Year. This will focus only on a Concert for the Community, no market, but with a range of the fabulous food vendors that Roleystone Market is becoming renowned for. This is a great move for both the Market and the Roleystone Musicians Club, who will showcase their musical talents to a specific audience with a great musical feast.
