If you think of The Rocks precinct in Sydney as "Sydney's First Village", you'll get a general sense of what the area is all about. Sure, it's steeped in convict history, is on any visitor's "must visit" list, and, for locals, is a great locale for dining and drinking, but there's so much more to The Rocks

As it stands, 70% of visitors to The Rocks precinct are local (residents of NSW), while the rest are interstate and international. This means that there is now more than ever a real local feel to the area. The Rocks isn't just for tourists anymore - it's an important hub for any Sydneysider.

Thanks to the hipster trend that doesn't seem to be dying any day soon, barbershops are not only a fad, but also making a comeback.

Enter Barber Supreme , a high quality barbershop offering men's grooming services.

Established in 2011 by Chris Dugdale and Matt Sheldick, Barber Supreme is real deal vintage, located in an 1860s terrace, restored with vintage-style touches. It's close enough to the northern end of the CBD that most men can get an appointment in close to their offices, and most of the clientele are actually walk-ins.

Chris explains that he didn't think of The Rocks as an area to set up shop at first, but now they find that the location is ideal, and their services, which are more upmarket, are perfect for the men in the area, particularly those working in the creative industries.

Get a Clipper Cut (single grade) service for $30, or get the Combo service for $90, which includes a scissor cut and wet shave (clients get the lather, straight razor shave, hot towel and after shave balm).
