To quote Stanley Kramer out of context, it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world – so mad, in fact, that amateur anthologist Robert Ripley made a living showcasing the world's most unusual oddities.

From authentic shrunken heads to the Lord's Prayer printed on a grain of rice; a one eyed lamb to a man who survived a firing squad, Odditorium (Soul Centre, Cavill Mall, Surfers Paradise) is a showcase of things that make you go hmm. Curious oddities, amazing illusions, cunning pranks and weird and wonderful miscellany abound in a place where the weird is the norm and freaks rule.

Educational, funny, gruesome and exciting, there's never a dull moment at Ripley's Odditorium. There are parts of the museum that are not for the faint hearted but if you push through, you'll be rewarded with one hell of a unique experience.

Odditorium is open throughout the week from 9:00am until 11:00pm; limited trading hours apply on Anzac Day and New Years Eve. Tickets are $21.90 for adults, $18.50 for concession holders (including backpackers) and $12.50 for children.
