For those that enjoy a good old rummage, a bargain and/or vintage goods, you'll be excited to hear about a new recycled market, due to launch at Mornington Racecourse this March.
Revival Markets will run as a series of 'pop-up' events scattered around Melbourne and beyond, with Northcote coming up in the near future, and other venues on the agenda.
Revival Market is the brainchild of Warren James, an event organiser with a penchant for 'old stuff', and a collector of vintage lights and household goods. He wanted to create an event where collectors can gather to sell their goods with other like-minded folk.
The first Revival Market will open at 9:30am, Saturday 14 March, and run until 2pm. It offers a plethora of vintage wares from bygone times. There is set to be over 100 stalls, selling a blend of pre-loved, vintage, antiques, and old wares, to bric-a-brac, up-cycled and collectables.
Rest assured, environmental shoppers, there will be nothing new at Revival Market, where old is the
new new. Pick up a treasure with a story to tell, whether it be a vintage frock, a retro lamp, an up-cycled audio suitcase, a classic novel, a rotary dial telephone, or some vintage bling. Revival Market will prove that the old stuff is much more fun than buying retail.
Meet the curators of some unique and magnificent wares, or go for a rummage down 'Car Boot Alley' and soak up the atmosphere at Mornington's renowned event venue.
In between browsing, you can enjoy live entertainment, kids activities, and plenty of yummy food and drink. There will be plenty of free on-site parking.
