Restaurants are everywhere in London I know, that's the problem though isn't it? So many choices means either stress in trying to decide what to have, or alternatively sticking to the ones you know and love because, well, you know and love them.

What you really want, I know, is someone to give you a little bit of insight into places that actually might be good, within your price range, and also worth looking for in the first place. I tend to think that's where I come in...

and this is my recommendation for you - a Spanish restaurant named Galicia, as authentic as you like, serving traditional Spanish food (tapas), at prices that won't break the bank.

Though you may need to search it out, as it is off the beaten track a little, it is worth the effort, as the unassuming frontage leads into a bar which could have been plonked Wizard-Of-Oz-Style straight from a Spanish town.

Tapas is probably the order of the day, but in the intimate venue (the number of diners able to eat at any one time will probably total 30-ish at capacity), there are tables available for the larger, main course meals.

A sign of a good restaurant is the fact that people continue to go there - and extra points if natives of the country the restaurant purports to be from are among the regulars - Galicia delivers on both fronts (I even believe I saw the same couple on the next table I had seen the time before when I was there).

So should you fancy venturing away from your normal establishments, put your faith in an Estrella, some patatas bravas or even a plate of jamon serrano and pretend you're somewhere a million miles away from the rain drizzling outside - aaah.
