Every second Saturday 4 Bristol Court in Lonsdale, South Australia hosts the Rendezvous Continental Produce Markets. The name, "Rendezvous" roughly translated is: "to meet you" Which is the wish of the vendors in this now transformed industrial area.
Originally from France Daniel Barrachina wanted to create the feel of a little French Village. His family owned Croissant D"Or Bakery has been supplying schools, catering companies and the central markets since 1982.
As one of the main vendors at the market Croissant D'Or Bakery beckons you inside as you follow the aroma of freshly baked croissants and cakes.
Daniels son will be baking while his daughter will be selling her unique clay jewellery imported from her recent trip to France. The soup Du jour is hot homemade ham and pea soup that you can sip while you stroll.
The family and community feel of this market is already present. Though its in its early stages, Daniel would love to invite any potential stall holders to contact him at Rendezvous Continental Produce Markets. There is room for about 32 vendors with dreams of expansion not too far in the future.
The Laura Gardens Bees Honey and Gilbert Bee Keeping Supplies are also vendors at this market and offer tastings and education about bees and honey. The honey samples might just work up an appetite for a Golden North Honey ice cream bar made with Laura Gardens Honey.
