I am always on the lookout for places to eat with a view, and we were pleasantly entertained with the view from the Reef Point Café. Situated at the end of Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsular, your view extends out to Moreton Bay and on most days to the Glass House Mountains. It is also ideally situated near the walking/bicycle path that extends around the peninsular. The small beach area adjacent to the Reef Point Café is sometimes the landing area for the tandem skydiving out of Redcliffe. if you are lucky you can sit back sipping your coffee whilst watching the parachutes come down one by one.

It was a overcast Saturday morning that I ventured here with my son. I had noticed this café whilst bike riding past here on numerous occasions, telling myself that I would have to go back and check it out. We are always on the lookout for somewhere different for breakfast and with both indoor and outdoor seating (covered) this seemed liked the ideal spot. The atmosphere was relaxed and food very satisfying even for my hungry, growing 12 year old son.

He enjoyed mushrooms on Panini with crumbled fetta with a side of chipolatas and for myself I had the fluffy omelette with smoked salmon. Serving sizes are very generous, coffee was hot and the view added to the flavour. We went home quite happy, ready to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
