The all free Redlands Easter Family Festival will be held at the Cleveland Showgrounds on Easter Monday, April 9.

In its' 13th consecutive year the festival is the second largest annual event in the Redlands and one of Australia's largest annual Christian festivals.

Organised by various churches in the Redlands, the event includes entertainment acts, sideshow rides, performers, an animal farm, a wide range of activities for kids, as well as free food and drinks.

Everything at the festival is free of charge.

The festivities start at 10am and last until 4pm.

It has been attended by between 12,000 and 15,000 people every year, and more than 400 volunteers are involved in the event.

The festival is intended to showcase the Redlands as a caring community, and was started by Pastor Glen Gray as an opportunity for churches to share the Christian Easter message, while still providing plenty of free fun for families.

The event is organised by a range of churches in the Redlands, whose members work together to plan and run the day's activities.
