With Redcliffe being only an easy half hour drive north of Brisbane city, it is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a leisurely Sunday.
While you are there, take in the
Jetty Markets open every Sunday from 8.00am to 3.00pm on the Foreshore. Here you can pick up some unique artwork, clothes, fresh fruit and veggies, plants or funky jewellery.

In warmer months you may like to relax at
Settlement Cove Lagoon, a short stroll down from the markets. This is the ideal place to enjoy a swim overlooking Morton Bay. There are a both a wading and swimming area as well as a fenced children's playground. It also has a ramp for wheelchair entry and has life guards on duty in peak times. You will also find BBQ and picnic facilities around the landscaped gardens of the Lagoon.

If fishing is more your thing, there are plenty of easily accessible spots to throw in a line. These include off the Redcliffe Jetty, anywhere along the rock wall and the old Redcliffe Bridge. Or boats are available for hire from
Boab Boat Hire for some off shore fishing.

For the really adventurous, Redcliffe is also home to
Jump the Beach skydiving. Leaving from the heart of Redcliffe, you can join (literally) a tandem master who will help you jump from a perfectly good airplane over Morton Bay to enjoy the thrill of free falling and parachuting to land right on the beach.

Finally, you could enjoy a great meal at the many wonderful cafes, restaurants or hotels that are all within walking distance of the foreshore. A perfect way to whittle away a lazy afternoon with friends. Check out the
Redcliffe Vistors Centre to find something to your taste.
