A successful night market in and around the Hunter St Mall is only on one night this year after it missed out on public funding and had to be made pozible by overwhelming local support.

The one night only is being held Saturday 26 November from 4 to 10PM. It's on rain, hail or shine and promises to be a vibrant event as they raise the red lanterns over an array of artists and designers who will brighten the heart of the city with their wares. There will also be food stalls, music and street performance, with lantern making for the young and rickshaw rides for the young at heart.

It's a chance for the locals to make Hunter St Mall come alive and prove that the heart of Newcastle is a place where artisans meet and mingle.
