It's common knowledge among fashionistas that Newtown is the place to go for amazing one-of-a-kind finds. What people probably don't realise is that the Red Cross Op-Shop, is the perfect place to find them.



While it may seem counter-intuitive to buy second-hand in order to find amazing products, you'd be shocked at what you can find. Boasting a great range of clothes, books, shoes, music and accessories, the Red Cross store is great for shopping, but not so great for window shopping – it's very hard to walk in and not buy anything.



For lovers of Mad Men, there's a great range of 50's style and other vintage clothing, as well as vinyl records. The prices are decent, and anything you buy comes with the satisfying knowledge that you're buying from charity and injecting money back into the local community.



The store is beautifully set up, and has a retro, cool vibe to it, which matches its suburb perfectly. The prices are great for those on a budget (which, last time I checked, is everyone), with plenty of bargains to be had store-wide. The only negative? If you find something that's not your size, too bad. After all, everything here is one-of-a-kind.
