I'm a proud Adelaidean with a healthy obsession with live music and performance, red wine and Mexican food.

Winter's nearly over which is great. But that means summer isn't far away and for some people (like me) that's a scary thought…what happened to not putting on those hibernation kilos?

Thankfully, Re-energize Health and Fitness Centre is here to help shift the weight that all the warming red wine and carb-dinners have added.

Re-energize is a family owned and operated community gym in Pooraka with flexible opening hours, incredibly friendly staff and a relaxed, welcoming environment (complete with a pool table, coffee machine and child minding facilities).

There's a range of fitness options available including personal training and group fitness. There's Zumba, Boot Camp, Trim and Tone, Kick Fit and more.

And if you're still hesitant, consider taking a Spin class in a disco room with flashing lights and great music – it'll be more fun than walking through the sticky floors at your nearest club.

Gym owners Luke and Carly are helpful and extremely supportive. They welcome everyone, from newbies through to body builders. They work personally with members to help them achieve (and exceed) their personal health and fitness goals.

If you'd like to try out the gym without being locked into a contract, try the special offer of 30 days and a personal training session for just $45.

Re-energize is a 'no pressure' gym offering a wide range of membership options and payment plans which are tailored to the lifestyle and health and fitness needs of each individual.

Oh wow! A pool table in a gym, that does sound like a welcoming place. Sometimes gyms are a little too sterile, and I think that can put people off who aren't heaps familiar with the gym atmosphere. It is nice to find places that offer a bit more of a relaxed environment to get fit!
