What vegan and vegetarian dreams are made of
Raw & More Nourishing Cafe is brought to you by creative foodies Vicki and Michael. They're also the mother and son duo behind Just Rawsome Healthy Treats, so it's no surprise that Raw & More's display fridge abounds with a colourful range of raw, vegan and refined sugar-free treats.

One such creation is Vicki's beloved 'New Kid on the Block'. The raw cake is a must-try, with a texture part-mousse / part-cheesecake, and flavours of strawberries and cream that will make you either completely forget that it's vegan or have you pondering how in the world it can be both healthy AND delicious.
The 'more' to Raw & More comes in with their healthy breakfast and lunch menus, which feature a mix of modern cafe and homestyle creations made with fresh local produce such as Chirpy Chook eggs and Tweedvale milk.
Raw & More have a variety of brunch options available.
Heading up the brekkie list is the Acai Bowl made with blended cold acai, fresh fruit and cashews. Ours was topped with fresh banana, crunchy sunflowers and pepita, almonds, and shaved coconut. Sweet, smooth and refreshing, it's a healthy and tasty way to start the day.
The very popular Acai Bowl.
Meanwhile, the Vanilla Chia Pudding was an irresistible choice, being topped with juicy mixed berries (including lingonberry – my fav!) and more crunchy coconut. The hint of cinnamon and vanilla in the chia pudding had us scraping the bowl clean.
Vicki's homemade zucchini slice rounded out our table's selection. Packed with finely sliced zucchini and carrot and baked with a topping of tomato and cheese, the nourishing flavours were beaten only by the creamy cheesy texture. Ours was served with a side salad of roast beetroot, pumpkin and baby spinach, with quinoa and mustard seeds for little bursts of flavour.
The fantastic zucchini slice and salad was one of our favourites.
Of course, we couldn't go past a cappuccino made with Coffee Barun beans, and while we opted for dairy, there's a full range of reduced fat, almond, soy, coconut and lactose-free milks to choose from.
Raw & More's Number 3 juice was a pleasant surprise since juices featuring beetroot often leave you with a distinct earthy aftertaste. Raw & More have found a nice balance of flavour with their beetroot, apple, carrot and ginger blend. Next time we'll be sure to try a Specialty Smoothie - with names like Kermit's Revenge and DK's Dinner, who could resist?
If it's hot outside, you could always try something from their range of kombucha tea and cold-brew coffees.
Kombucha and Cold Brew coffee is available.
The best discovery of the day was the homemade dairy-free yoghurt. It's incredible! If you're keen to get your hands on some it's best to preorder so you don't miss out. The yoghurt, along with their homemade dairy-free ice creams and tasty dips are made to order and conveniently available in bulk.
