The 2013 RACV Classic Showcase is an absolute feast for the photographer and for the admirer of all things shiny and old in the automotive field, but if you're a fanatic, be prepared to go into overload. Held at Flemington Racecourse, this is an event for all tastes. It isn't just about cars. There's music from the 60s, trade stalls, children's amusement events including rides, face painting and an animal farm. The event is catered for.

SO you're not a "rev head". It is highly likely that you will still enjoy the sheer beauty of these magnificently restored and lovingly maintained classic cars. Chances are your grandparents owned one or they've featured in prominent movies over time. They'll certainly be recognizable.

This year's Showcase will display more than 1100 historic and classic vehicles, manufactured in England and Europe such as sedans, sports cars, estates, commercial vehicles and motorbikes.

The display will also feature 100 years of Morris and 50 years of Lamborghini as well as Hillman Imp and Rover P5. You'll be able to imagine driving the MGs and Mercedes-Benz concours cars on show or just wander around the Austin Healey and Vauxhall Car Club displays.

Order yourself a commemorative car badge from the website (refer below please) and roll up at 10am as the gates to impressive Flemington Racecourse open.

This event supports the Lions Club "Cerebral Palsy Education Centre". Admission is as follows:
