Tue 10 May 2016

It's promoted as "The Biggest Quilting Event on the Island!" Bribie Island that is.

On Tuesday May 10th, from 10am to 3pm, the Island Quilters, Thursday Quilters, Tuesday Ladies Sewing Circle and the Pumicestone Piecers will host this event at the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre, Sunderland Drive, Bribie Island.

It's a full fun day of all things quilting, with a display in the Gallery, with Challenge Quilts to be donated to Blankets and Love.

There will be three studios where you will find vendors offering quilting supplies and other items for sale, and there will be a Giant Tombola, with all proceeds going to the Community Arts Centre.

A Tea Towel Swap? The information is that if you bring an "embellished tea towel" to give, you will receive a surprise one back!

Other groups will be open on the day – the Potters, Woodworkers and the Gem Club will be hoping visitors check out their displays where there will be work for sale.

Lunch will be available from the verandah café or you are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch. There will also be a Sausage Sizzle and cold drinks to purchase.

Admission is $5, which includes morning tea.

For more information contact Margaret on 0438 655288 or email [email protected] or check out their Facebook page. www.facebook.com/islandquilters
Note: A tombola is a type of raffle.
