Queen Elizabeth II's full official title is "Queen Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith". Now that's a mouthful - I hope she's just Liz to her friends. This year she celebrates 60 years on the throne, and that's a big achievement regardless of what you think about monarchies, republics and Australia's place in the world. So spare a thought for Liz when you're out enjoying one of the many events Sydney is hosting from Saturday 9 June to Monday 11 June.
