The Queens Arms Hotel has been a staple pub in Bendigo since 1869. This pub is located within walking distance from the town centre on the corner of a busy intersection. The hotel hosts an outdoor area, a pub/bar and a bistro.
Main points about the Queens Arms Hotel:
Affordable dinner (Entree and Main for two adults came in at $60).
Delicious and large plates of food (certainly didn't need to the entree).
Go up to the counter to order your meal.
Family friendly bistro.
Great service. Great food. Would recommend.
Bistro Dining Experience
We recently had the chance to enjoy a meal in their newly renovated bistro. The atmosphere was bubbly and welcoming. We enjoyed our meals on a Thursday evening and whilst the bistro was full, we weren't disturbed by any other diners.
They had a small TV running up in the corner and the staff were consistently available if we should need. All staff members were extremely welcoming and happy to have a joke throughout the night.
The menu was nicely presented in a hardcover, multi-page format. The food was segmented to help with an easy choice.
We went for a shared entree to begin our meal. This came out quickly and looked amazing. The fresh antipasto offering was light and delicious. Quickly following our entree, our mains came out to the table. This ensures a quick and break free dining experience.
I went for the classic Chicken Parma with a side of Chips and Vegetables. The Chicken was cooked magnificently and the end result was a succulent dish. The toppings were ample with the cheese being crisped to perfection. The chips are always a highlight at the Queens Arms Hotel. The seasoning is something else. The vegetables were fresh and made a delicious addition to the meal, rather than an after thought.
Digital
They don't have a very strong online presence with their
website being currently under maintenance and their
Facebook page hasn't been updated since 2012.
