QSO Presents Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone™



It's been fifteen years since the blockbuster movie burst into cinemas. Now Queensland Symphony Orchestra is bringing Harry, Hermione, Ron and friends back to the big screen with a massive movie and live music event at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The first of the eight movies based on the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling will be shown on a giant screen, with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra performing every note of Oscar-winning composer John Williams' unforgettable score throughout.

The event's rep says, "The Harry Potter Film Concert Series… is another magical experience from J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World."

The show will be on Saturday 1st of April 2017 – and no this isn't an April Fools trick because the screening is after midday, with shows at 1.30pm and 7.30pm. Even with two sessions on offer, wizards, muggles and magical beasts are advised to grab their tickets fast, as this is sure to be a popular event.



[b][i]Fun Fact: The first book and movie have a different title in the United States to here in Australia. In America it's known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.[/i][/b]

This Australian premiere is the first in what promises to be a thrilling series for Potter fanatics everywhere. The movie is a feast for the eye with over 600 special effects, amazing costumes, and breathtaking sets, so it's sure to look great in this high-definition screening.

"It is with great pleasure that we introduce for the first time ever an opportunity to experience the award-winning music scores played live by a symphony orchestra, all while the beloved film is simultaneously projected onto the big screen. It will be an unforgettable event."
